Want to ride safely through the streets of Leiden? Good bicycle lighting is essential, and we are happy to help you on your way. Below, discover our wide range of lighting for your bike: from battery lights and hub dynamo lighting to innovative magnetic lights such as Reelights.
Disposable lights
Disposable lights are a quick and easy solution for bike lighting. However, they often provide mediocre light, donβt last long, and are therefore not very sustainable. We donβt sell them for this reason.

Battery-powered lights
These lights are the most affordable option in the short term. They are cheap and easy to install. The downside is that you need to replace the batteries regularly, which can be time-consuming and costly. And we all know that you often forget to turn off that rear light.

Lights with auto-off function
These lights are more durable than the first option. They have an auto-off function, meaning they turn off when you stop and turn on again when it gets dark and you start cycling.

Hub dynamo lighting
This is, in our opinion, the best solution for bicycle lighting. You do need the right front wheel, and installation can be tricky. The front light is quick to install, but the rear light is more difficult because the power cable needs to be routed to the back. Dynamo lighting provides constant power, making this a sustainable option.

* This price is if we replace the light. If we install the entire cable, the cost will be higher.
Reelight set
A nice alternative to the hub dynamo, useful if you donβt have one. These bike lights automatically turn on while cycling, even during the day. Fortunately, you donβt notice this at all. One downside is that the light output is lower than other front and rear lights, but better a little light than no light at all!
What do Reelights cost?
Total: β¬44,45
Including installation.
When installing Reelights, we always install both a front and rear light.

What is the best bike lighting?
The best lighting for your bike? Good question! Our preference goes to hub dynamo lights. Unfortunately, this isnβt possible on every bike. It also depends on your needs and budget. Our advice: spend a bit more the first time, so youβll be cheaper in the long run. Below is a simple overview of the different types of bike lighting we offer.
